Cutting-edge Classroom: Unveiling the Research Hub of Innovation
The factory and short circuit testing and transformer research center combine efforts betweenCHAROENCHAI TRANSFORMER Co., KEMA Laboratories in the Netherlands, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. Designed in a blend of semi-industrial loft and futuristic styles, the facility features a truss structure roof to invite natural light through skylights, enhancing the integration of natural light with the semi-industrial loft design. The interior spans 1,000 square meters.
Materials like steel and shades of gray reflect machinery, with torn and laminated steel and walls in loft-style colors and patterns. Wire sculptures adorn walls and partitions, while lighting fixtures, influenced by transformer equipment, and an experimental room inspired by a space station create a captivating ambiance. The factory and research center also include research and development rooms, executive workrooms, control rooms, and research facilities.
For the electrical system’s laboratory space, the goal is a futuristic atmosphere reminiscent of space exploration. Warm white lighting and visually striking wall patterns create a dimensional look inspired by science fiction. Safety is a priority, with a well-tested robust safety system ensuring insulation and protection against leaks or short circuits.
